Luke Littler has hinted that fans could soon see him step up to the oche in a fresh new look after sealing a record-breaking sponsorship agreement.

The teenage world champion recently put pen to paper on a landmark 10-year partnership with Target Darts following his stunning triumph at Alexandra Palace. The deal — reportedly worth around £20million — is believed to be the biggest commercial agreement in the history of professional darts.

As part of the new arrangement, Target will also oversee Littler’s management after his split from former agent Martin Foulds last October.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Littler reflected warmly on his time with his previous representative, praising the work done to help launch his rapid rise to stardom.

He acknowledged the role Foulds played in securing major opportunities and negotiating strong commercial deals, adding that he wishes him well going forward. But the young star is now fully focused on what lies ahead under his new setup.

Littler explained that the partnership opens the door to fresh ideas — including new equipment and possibly a different on-stage look over the coming decade. That could mean a change from his trademark purple shirt with neon yellow detailing, an outfit that has become instantly recognisable during his rise through the sport.

Any shift in appearance, however, will likely go hand-in-hand with developments in his equipment. Littler has long relied on his trusted Gen One 23g darts and has historically been reluctant to move away from them after mixed experiences with alternative models.

He revealed that his father has always advised him not to fix what isn’t broken — a philosophy that has guided many of his decisions when experimenting with new gear. While previous attempts to switch darts haven’t produced the desired results, Littler insists he remains open-minded if something genuinely improves his performance.

New prototypes will be tested extensively in practice, and only if he finds consistent form will they make it onto the competitive stage.

That willingness to adapt could prove important. Despite his remarkable success, Littler has faced early setbacks in this season’s Premier League Darts, suffering defeats to Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen in the opening weeks.

For a player who burst onto the scene by conquering the PDC World Darts Championship, any dip in results naturally draws attention. Whether a new shirt, new darts, or simply renewed confidence is the answer remains to be seen — but one thing is certain: Littler’s next chapter is already taking shape.
