Fans Rally Behind Luke Littler After World Masters Exit
Darts sensation Luke Littler received an overwhelming wave of support from fans following his World Masters quarter-final exit, with supporters taking to social media to back the teenage star.
“You still did a very good job. Proud of you,” one fan commented on Instagram.
“Chin up, mate! You were mega! Onto the next one, pal!” another added.
“Still an incredible performance despite the loss! Onwards and upwards!” a third supporter posted.
Despite the setback, Littler’s supporters emphasized his strong performance and looked ahead to his next challenge.
“Gutted for you today, but you played well this weekend—roll on Premier League Darts,” one fan wrote.
Littler Yet to Follow Up His World Championship Glory
The 18-year-old PDC World Champion fell 4-2 to Jonny Clayton in the World Masters quarter-finals, marking another early exit in recent tournaments.
The defeat follows his semi-final loss to Stephen Bunting at the Dutch Darts Masters and quarter-final elimination at the 2025 Bahrain Darts Masters by Gerwyn Price. Littler had taken some time off earlier in January with a holiday in Spain before returning to competition.
Taking to Instagram after his match, Littler reflected on his performance:
“My first World Masters, and I’ve loved playing this tournament—just disappointed not to make it past the quarters, but well played @jonnyclay180.”
He also expressed gratitude for the continued support:
“Thanks as always for all the support—it’s been amazing.”
Focus Shifts to Premier League Title Defense
Despite the disappointment, Littler has little time to dwell on his World Masters exit, as he now sets his sights on defending his Premier League Darts title.
The competition begins Thursday evening in Belfast, where Littler will face Michael van Gerwen in his opening match of the season.
Fans are already looking ahead to his next challenge, with one supporter summing up the mindset perfectly:
“Onto the Premier League.”
With the quick turnaround between tournaments, Littler has an immediate opportunity to bounce back and reaffirm his place among the sport’s elite.
