Manchester City, the reigning Premier League champions, are reportedly prepared to sell 29-year-old England international Jack Grealish in the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to Football Insider, Grealish’s future at Manchester City is uncertain. The player has seen his role diminish at the Etihad, leading to frustration over his limited playing time.
Grealish’s progress has stalled since his £100 million move from Aston Villa to Manchester City in August 2021. He arrived with a strong reputation, having been a key player and captain for his boyhood club.
However, the 29-year-old has struggled to establish himself as a consistent starter at Manchester City, despite showing moments of brilliance. In the 2024/25 season, Grealish has had limited playing time, appearing in only 26 matches across all competitions, totaling less than 1,500 minutes, and contributing two goals and five assists.
The emergence of Savinho and Omar Marmoush’s impressive start at Manchester City has further complicated Grealish’s path to regular first-team football.
Grealish is attracting interest from several clubs. Reports indicate that Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan are among the European clubs keen on acquiring him. Premier League clubs have also expressed interest.
However, a move abroad is considered a likely option for Grealish, rather than joining another Premier League side. Manchester City are reportedly open to selling Grealish, and the player is increasingly dissatisfied with his situation at the club.
With significant interest from prominent clubs, Grealish’s departure to a major European team in the summer transfer window is anticipated.
