Nick Kyrgios Fires Back at Boris Becker After Social Media Jab
Boris Becker found himself in a war of words with Nick Kyrgios after laughing at a post mocking the Australian. Kyrgios, never one to hold back, fired a brutal response, calling the former six-time Grand Slam champion “a criminal.”
Kyrgios Continues His Outspoken Stance on Sinner’s Doping Case
Kyrgios has been one of the loudest voices criticizing the handling of Jannik Sinner’s doping case, where the Italian accepted a three-month ban following two failed tests. The Australian has repeatedly questioned the system’s fairness and transparency, fueling debate within the tennis community.
Amid his persistent criticism, a tennis fan account on X (formerly Twitter) posted a satirical take on Kyrgios’ stance:
“2084: Did I tell you about the time Jannik Sinner failed two doping tests? The whole system is rigged! Why won’t the establishment do anything? This is why I never won a big title!”
Adding further insult, the post included:
“Nick, did you make poopy diaper again?”
Becker responded with a simple “lol”, laughing at the mockery—but Kyrgios wasn’t about to let it slide.
Kyrgios Hits Back at Becker’s Past
Noticing Becker’s reaction, Kyrgios immediately fired back, writing:
“What’s up, criminal?”
The jab was a direct reference to Becker’s 2022 conviction. The German tennis legend was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for hiding assets after declaring bankruptcy. However, he served only eight months in a British prison before being deported to Germany and released.
Despite his legal troubles, Becker’s post-prison career in tennis remained intact. He has since worked as a coach for Holger Rune and continued his broadcasting roles without major disruptions.
In past interviews, Becker has spoken candidly about his time in prison, describing it as a harsh and life-changing experience, even admitting that he feared for his life behind bars.
Since then, the 57-year-old has remained out of legal trouble, but it seems his online exchange with Kyrgios proves that his past is not forgotten—especially by those ready to call it out.
