‘One I really want in 2026…’ – Luke Littler reveals tournament he’s desperate to win after second World Championship

Luke Littler may already be the dominant force in world darts, but the teenage superstar has made it clear there is still one major title missing from his rapidly expanding collection.

Fresh from clinching his second consecutive PDC World Darts Championship, Littler has revealed the tournament he is most eager to conquer in 2026 — the Premier League Darts.

The 18-year-old sealed back-to-back world crowns at Alexandra Palace with a commanding 7–1 victory over Gian van Veen, further cementing his status as the sport’s leading figure. The triumph added to an astonishing résumé that already includes multiple major titles, record-breaking prize money and the biggest sponsorship deal in darts history.

Yet despite all that success, Littler admits one prize continues to motivate him more than any other.

Speaking after his World Championship win, the world number one said:

“The Premier League is the one I really want in 2026. I’ve won the Worlds twice now, but that’s the one that really means a lot to me.”

Littler has already experienced the unique pressures of the Premier League format, which sees eight elite players compete weekly across 16 nights in front of packed arenas around Europe. Despite his success elsewhere, the competition has so far eluded him — something he is determined to put right next season.

The teenager’s hunger underlines his relentless mentality. Since bursting onto the scene, Littler has rewritten the record books, becoming the youngest world champion in history before successfully defending his title a year later. In 2025 alone, he claimed five major trophies and surpassed the £3 million mark in career prize money, all before his 19th birthday.

Winning the Premier League would complete another significant chapter in his rise and further fuel comparisons with darts icon Phil Taylor, who lifted the trophy six times during his legendary career.

With Littler already confirmed as a central figure in the 2026 Premier League line-up, few would bet against him adding the coveted title to his growing list of achievements.

For now, though, the message from the sport’s biggest star is clear: despite already ruling the darts world, Luke Littler believes his best is still to come — and the Premier League is firmly in his sights.
