Paige Spiranac may have earned herself a shot at Hollywood film after her latest lingerie-themed antics.
The golf influencer, who has four million followers on Instagram, has long been a popular figure on social media. But following her latest X (formerly Twitter) post, the blonde bombshell could cultivate an ever bigger following on the silver screen.
Following rumours that Adam Sandler has written a sequel to the 1996 cult comedy film Happy Gilmore, which sees a failing ice hockey star compete in a golf tournament to save his grandmother’s home from foreclosure, Spiranac has thrown her hat in the ring for a potential role in the flick.
The 30-year-old posed in lacy white lingerie with two beer pitchers in hand to recreate the iconic “Happy Place” scene from the film, which originally saw actress Julie Bowen of Modern Family fame take on the role of Happy’s love interest, Virginia Venit.
Captioning the post: “I was born ready”, Spiranac quoted a cast list for the sequel created by the X account ‘Tour Golf’, which optimistically had the golfer turned influencer in the role of ‘Public Relations Lady’.
The potential appearance of Spiranac in a Hollywood blockbuster left her fans in a frenzy. One of her many supporters wrote “this needs to happen” while another added “can’t wait for this” and a third commented: “On 2nd thought, I’m all in on happy Gilmore 2.”
The fantasy cast that was conjured up by the satirical X account was laughed at by many, due to the seemingly far-fetched nature of capturing some of the individuals to star in the film.
