Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas has revealed that he and his girlfriend, world No. 9 Paula Badosa, have talked about marriage — and their latest appearance together may have given them a glimpse of that future.
The couple made a stunning appearance at the 2025 Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid, donning coordinated all-white outfits that quickly captured the attention of fans and fellow athletes alike. Among those impressed was British tennis star Emma Raducanu, who left a string of heart emojis on Badosa’s Instagram post from the event.
Reflecting on their eye-catching look, Tsitsipas said the idea of marriage came to mind as soon as he saw their matching outfits.
“That’s what I thought when I saw our combinations,” he said. “I told Paula, ‘If we ever get married, this is exactly how I’d want us to look.’ It felt like a sneak peek into the future.”
Tsitsipas, 26, and Badosa, 27, have been dating for over two years and are often seen supporting each other courtside. Earlier this year, Tsitsipas won his first ATP 500 title in Dubai, while Badosa has had strong showings at major tournaments, reaching the quarter-finals of the 2024 US Open and the semi-finals at this year’s Australian Open.
Despite her recent success, Badosa has been sidelined due to a back injury.
Tsitsipas, a former world No. 3, is currently ranked 16th and has faced scrutiny over whether his relationship is affecting his game. But he dismissed any such concerns.
“I don’t pay attention to that. I don’t follow the media during tournaments — I don’t want to read, hear, or see what people are saying,” he explained.
“I’m happy with who I have in my life. I’m making sure it doesn’t interfere negatively with my tennis, and I have great support by my side that helps me continue thriving in my career.”
