Stephen Bunting has always been known for his smooth throw, calm demeanour and friendly personality—but his recent appearance on the classic darts game show Bullseye produced an unexpected moment of comedy after he was asked to take part in a karaoke segment.
The 2024 Masters champion, who has become one of the most recognisable figures on the PDC circuit, was put on the spot during filming when the host jokingly suggested he step up to the mic and give the audience a song. But Bunting, never one to shy away from honesty, delivered a brilliantly blunt response—one that had the studio bursting into laughter.
“Not a chance.”
The 40-year-old’s three-word answer instantly became the highlight of the episode as he shook his head, laughed, and firmly declined the offer. Even the host admitted he couldn’t blame him, joking:
“Fair enough, Stephen. We’ve all heard some shocking karaoke on here—maybe you’ve saved us!”
Bunting later explained that while he loves music, singing in front of a crowd is where he draws the line.
Bunting: “I’ll stick to hitting trebles.”
After the cameras stopped rolling, The Bullet expanded on his humorous refusal, saying he knows his strengths—and karaoke is definitely not one of them.
“Let’s just say I’ll stick to hitting trebles,” he quipped.
“The fans come to hear the darts, not me destroying a classic tune.”
Fans loved the moment
Clips of his instant rejection quickly made the rounds on social media, with fans praising Bunting’s down-to-earth personality.
- “Bunting is a legend—three words and I’m crying laughing.”
- “Man knows his limits. Respect.”
- “This is why everyone loves The Bullet.”
Many also joked that they would have paid to hear him attempt a karaoke version of “Sweet Caroline” or “Wonderwall,” two favourites among darts crowds.
A fun break before World Championship pressures
The light-hearted moment comes during a busy period for Bunting as he prepares for the upcoming PDC World Championship, where he is aiming to convert his strong 2024 and 2025 form into a deep Ally Pally run.
But fans now know one thing for certain: whatever else Bunting does on stage this season, he won’t be picking up a microphone.
