Seventeen-year-old tennis sensation Mirra Andreeva is back in action this week at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, where more than just a trophy is on the line—a brand-new Porsche is also up for grabs.

Fresh off an incredible run that includes 13 wins from her last 14 matches and consecutive WTA 1000 titles in Dubai and Indian Wells, Andreeva is bringing her momentum to the indoor clay courts of Stuttgart. As the sixth seed at this WTA 500 event, she’s got her sights set on both the title and the luxury car that comes with it.

Andreeva admitted she’s already been browsing the Porsche models parked courtside. “The view on centre court is super nice. I already thought about which cars I would like to get,” she said with a smile.

But there’s a catch—she doesn’t yet have her driver’s license.

“We’re not there yet,” Andreeva added. “I’m just looking around. I still don’t have my driver’s license. We’re going to decide if I get to the final.”

This isn’t the first time a Stuttgart champion couldn’t legally drive away in their prize. Elena Rybakina, last year’s winner, also didn’t have a license at the time. Karolina Pliskova, the 2018 champ, had to be chauffeured around the court in her new car, which she later let her husband drive.

Andreeva faces a tough road ahead if she hopes to drive off a champion—including a first-round showdown against her older sister Erika Andreeva, who entered the draw as a lucky loser after Marta Kostyuk withdrew due to injury. Erika, currently ranked 97th in the world, defeated Mirra in their only previous meeting last year in Wuhan.

Mirra is taking the matchup in stride. “We’re going to take it professionally because we don’t have any other choice,” she said. “We’re just going to go on court and play like any other match. If it happens, it’s probably going to be a great and entertaining match.”

As Stuttgart gears up for a week of high-stakes tennis and high-end cars, all eyes will be on Andreeva—both for her powerful game and her playful ambition to earn a Porsche she can’t yet drive.
