Emma Raducanu fans may be concerned after seeing recent photographs of the 2021 US Open champion.
Emma Raducanu paid a visit to Great Ormond Street Hospital at the end of last week and was pictured alongside some of the patients. But the images raised fears over the 2021 US Open champion’s fitness as she was wearing a protective boot on her left foot.

Raducanu has struggled with a whole host of injury issues since clinching silverware at Flushing Meadows as a teenager.

The blockbuster star reached the quarter-finals of the Korea Open last month but was forced to withdraw during her showdown with top seed Daria Kasatkina due to a foot problem.
Raducanu stepped away from the court to spread joy at Great Ormond Street Hospital, with the hospital’s Instagram account posting images from the day.

The 21-year-old is seen smiling alongside patients in two of the pictures, and standing in front of a hospital sign in another snap.
In a caption, the hospital wrote: “We were thrilled to welcome our friend and tennis star @emmaraducanu back to the hospital after her visit earlier this year. Emma met staff and patients as she visited the Physiotherapy department, and there were plenty of smiles when she joined in on a session. Thanks for stopping by, Emma.”
Some fans were quick to spot the boot on her foot and referenced it in their replies. And her followers will be hoping the injury isn’t as significant as it looks.

Raducanu, who missed the majority of the 2023 season after having operations on an ankle and both her wrists, spoke out about her injury issues in the lead-up to Wimbledon in the summer as she explained: “I think it’s very easy for me to lose sight of where I was exactly a year ago.
“You get so caught up in your own world that you want more and more and more, but I was on a [mobility] scooter scooting around and there was an element of doubt.
