The Luke Littler Darts Academy has officially opened in Warrington — and it’s already proving to be a hit with local youngsters.

Located at Brass Monkey in The Hive, the academy opened just last month and has quickly grown to nearly 100 members. Designed for children aged 7 to 18, the academy runs two weekly sessions: Thursdays from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and Sundays from 9am to 12pm.

The initiative wouldn’t have been possible without the Littler family, whose support has been instrumental in bringing the academy to life.

A Place to Learn and Have Fun

Head coach Sandra Rule, a darts veteran with more than 50 years of experience, leads the sessions. Her focus is on making the sport enjoyable and accessible for every child.

“We try to make it as fun as possible,” Sandra said. “We split the children into groups, and they all play at least five games each session. We’re always on hand to offer advice — whether it’s about their stance, their grip, or their throw.”

The academy is open to all levels, from beginners to those with experience, and the enthusiasm from participants has already been overwhelming.

“You can see it in their faces when they leave — they’re smiling, happy, and full of energy,” Sandra added. “After every session, I sit down for a couple of minutes and just think, ‘We did this. Those kids are smiling because of us.’”

Backing from the Littler Family

Sandra also credited the incredible support from Luke Littler’s parents, Lisa and Anthony, who played a crucial role in getting the academy off the ground.

“They’ve been amazing from day one,” Sandra explained. “They introduced us to Target, who are now sponsoring us for two years. And Luke himself — he’s just an incredible young man. Without Lisa, Anthony, and Luke, this academy wouldn’t exist.”

A few weeks ago, Lisa and Anthony even visited a full session, spending time with the kids, watching them play, and sharing in the excitement.

“It meant the world to everyone there,” Sandra said.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there — “The Nuke” himself, Luke Littler, has promised a visit to the academy in the near future.
