Luke Littler’s meteoric rise in the world of darts is not just inspiring fans—it’s fueling a business boom in Bolton.
Darts Corner, a leading online darts retailer headquartered at Harewood House on Union Road, has reported a massive spike in sales thanks to the “Luke Littler effect.” Following Littler’s historic victory at the 2025 BetMGM Premier League Darts final, where he became the youngest ever to claim a major title, interest in the sport has soared across all age groups.
“Darts has never been this popular,” said Craig Heenighan, Managing Director of Darts Corner. “We’re experiencing record-breaking trading, with sales up nearly 50% compared to last year. Dartboard sales alone have tripled year-on-year since Luke’s rise.”
Founded in 2005, Darts Corner has become the top global retailer for darts gear, shipping internationally and offering best-sellers like the Mission Samurai Infinity Dartboard (£49.95) and the Ruthless Hotshot Home Darts Centre (£47.95). To meet growing demand, the company is ramping up production and investing heavily in its supplier network.
To celebrate Littler’s success, the company launched a community initiative to give away 180 dartboards and sets to those in need. After quickly exceeding that target, Heenighan says they’re committed to expanding the effort.
“With the cost of living crisis hitting families hard, hobbies like darts can offer a sense of purpose and belonging—especially for young people in underserved areas,” he said. “We hope to inspire a new generation of Luke Littlers by providing free access to equipment.”
Heenighan added: “Darts has always had strong roots in working-class culture. While it’s exciting to see it go mainstream, we want to make sure everyone has the chance to play—no matter their background. That’s the true beauty of the game.”
