Intermittent form and a groin injury saw Grealish start just 10 Premier League games last season albeit he began each of his eight Champions League outings. This term, he has started one of the two European group games so far, being a late substitute against Slovan Bratislava on Tuesday. After scoring for England against the Republic of Ireland in September’s international break, Grealish – who was omitted from Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad – might be hoping to build on his two caps under current interim boss Lee Carsley this month.
