Gerwyn Price Continues Dominance Over Luke Littler in Premier League Night Six Final
Luke “The Nuke” Littler ran into a familiar roadblock in Gerwyn Price, as the Welshman once again proved to be his kryptonite in the Premier League Darts Night Six final in Nottingham.
Despite Littler’s scorching form earlier in the night, taking down world No.1 Luke Humphries and Rob Cross, he fell short once again against Price—marking his sixth consecutive defeat to the former world champion.
Price’s Hoodoo Over Littler Continues
Littler stormed into the final in dominant fashion, delivering sensational 167, 164, and 127 checkouts, all on the bullseye, while averaging a stunning 108 in his semi-final victory over Rob Cross. But when it mattered most, Price flipped the script.
The 18-year-old led 4-1, looking set to finally break the streak, but Price clawed his way back, taking five straight legs to seal a 6-3 win, securing his second Premier League nightly title of the season.
Amazingly, Price’s average (94.10) was nearly 10 points lower than Littler’s (103.39), yet his finishing proved the difference. Littler struggled with missed doubles, allowing Price to steal crucial legs and build momentum.
Littler Moves to Premier League Top Spot
Despite the loss, it wasn’t all bad news for Littler, who picked up three points for his runner-up finish, moving to the top of the Premier League table with 16 points—one ahead of Humphries. Price sits in third with 12 points heading into Night Seven in Cardiff.
