Tim Henman Backs Emma Raducanu to Outshine Alexander Zverev in Grand Slam Count
While Alexander Zverev may currently be in a stronger position to win a Grand Slam, former British star Tim Henman believes Emma Raducanu will end her career with more Major titles than the current ATP world No. 2.
Raducanu, 22, etched her name into tennis history with a remarkable 2021 US Open triumph, becoming the first qualifier ever to win a Grand Slam. However, since that breakout victory, she has only reached the fourth round at a Major once.
Meanwhile, Zverev has made significant strides, reaching three Grand Slam finals in the past five years—falling short at the 2020 US Open, 2024 French Open, and 2025 Australian Open. Despite his consistency at the highest level, he remains without a Major title.
During a Sky Sports prediction segment, Henman backed Raducanu to finish with more Grand Slam titles than Zverev. He also predicted that the British star would surpass Jack Draper in Major count but end up with fewer than Coco Gauff.
Could Raducanu Actually End Up With More Grand Slams Than Zverev?
At 27, Zverev is approaching his late 20s, an age where historically, fewer players have managed to secure their first Grand Slam title. Following his straight-set loss to Jannik Sinner in the 2025 Australian Open final, Zverev openly expressed his frustration, admitting that he desperately wants to avoid retiring without a Major.
“I’m doing everything I can, I’m working as hard as ever, I think I’m doing all the right things off-court. I think I’m practicing the right things, but I lost in straight sets today. Those are the facts,” Zverev reflected after his Melbourne defeat.
“I don’t want to end my career as the best player ever to never win a Grand Slam—that’s for sure. I’ll keep doing everything I can to lift one of those trophies.”
With Raducanu’s early success and Zverev’s ongoing struggle to cross the finish line, Henman’s prediction may not be as far-fetched as it seems.
