World’s richest tennis star Jessica Pegula makes incredible private jet gesture to Indian Wells rivals
Jessica Pegula treated the ATX Open finalists in Austin to a lavish perk after clinching her seventh WTA 250 title, defeating McCartney Kessler 7-5, 6-2. Kessler endured a tough run, also falling in the doubles final with Zhang Shuai to Yuan Yue and Anna Blinkova’s comeback. Yet, all four finalists reaped a plush reward.
With the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells looming, Pegula jetted off from Texas to California in her private plane—and brought Kessler, Zhang, Yuan, and Blinkova along for the ride. “Otherwise, we’d face a nine-hour slog tomorrow. How’s she this amazing?” one marveled.
Zhang, who joined Kessler on the flight, shared: “Us final-day girls were juggling flight plans to IW—some via Austin, Houston, or Dallas, others stuck with late L.A. layovers post-doubles. Then @jpegula offers her jet to all Sunday finalists. She could’ve bolted after singles, but she’s selfless and big-hearted. This isn’t bragging—I just want to spread her kindness.”
Pegula, 31, hails from billionaire parents Terry and Kim, whose Pegula Sports and Entertainment empire includes the NFL’s Buffalo Bills and NHL’s Buffalo Sabres. With a £10.3million net worth, the 2024 US Open finalist sits at world No. 4, often shrugging off skeptics doubting her drive as the richest tennis player alive.
