It was a busy month for the Manchester City star, who was called up for England duty, met Oasis comeback icon Noel Gallagher and spent private time with family. The 29-year-old is also expecting his first child with partner Sasha Attwood.

Meanwhile, on the pitch, the father-to-be has been rotated in and out of Pep Guardiola’s starting XI this season. Grealish has started just three of City’s six Premier League games so far, struggling to nail down a consistent line-up spot.

He has managed to grab two assists in his eight outings across all competitions, five of them starts, but has yet to find the net. Grealish has been jostling for minutes with Jeremy Doku on the left flank, who himself has a goal and assist in nine outings.

Intermittent form and a groin injury saw Grealish start just 10 Premier League games last season albeit he began each of his eight Champions League outings. This term, he has started one of the two European group games so far, being a late substitute against Slovan Bratislava on Tuesday.

This came after playing 81 minutes in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle United having lasted the full 90 minutes in the 2-1 League Cup win over Watford in midweek, just 49 hours after being dropped from the line-up against Arsenal.
