Taylor Fritz enjoyed another fantastic season on the court, but one moment has particularly caught the eye.

Fritz finished 2024 ranked fourth in the ATP Tour standings, leading the way for American players thanks to his impressive displays.

They helped him make his best Grand Slam progress with his US Open runner-up spot, with Fritz losing to Jannik Sinner in New York.

The duo then played out a repeat of that final at the ATP Finals, with the Italian once again beating the American to clinch the title.

Fritz has been backed to shine at the Laver Cup, but first he will need time to gather his thoughts on a very busy but very satisfactory season.

Laura Robson highlights ‘brutal’ Taylor Fritz moment at US Open

The American has now featured in an analysis of the 2024 season from the Sky Sports Tennis team, with Jonathan Overend and Laura Robson both featuring Fritz in their ATP Point of the Year nominations.

“I’ll give you a game when you could have chosen any of the winning shots – the ridiculous game between Djokovic and Fritz in the Shanghai semi-final at 2-2,” said commentator Overend.

Pundit Robson meanwhile noted: “I’ve gone Fritz and Alexander Zverev at the US Open. I think it was the fourth game of the second set and it was a brutal point.”

Djokovic beat Fritz in their Shanghai Masters clash in October, with the American overcoming Zverev in their US Open quarter-final in September.

Tim Henman blown away by Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz in Miami

Fritz would much rather have won those events as opposed to merely being involved in a competition for the greatest shots of the year.

But he did show his determination and talent time after time in 2024, with further evidence of that expected in 2025.

Pundit Tim Henman meanwhile was left impressed by two of the leading players of 2024 when discussing his ATP Point of the Year, saying: “I have to go with Sinner and Alcaraz from Miami. It looked like an arcade game!”

And Gigi Salmon opted for a stunning moment from the European Open, with the commentator noting: “I’ve gone for Hugo Gaston in Antwerp against Alex de Minaur. It has been viewed millions of times.”
