A widespread rumor circulated in Sanremo on Wednesday, right in the midst of the festival. According to some, Anna Kalinskaya, the girlfriend (or ex?) of Jannik Sinner, was spotted in Sanremo rather than in Doha, where she had just been eliminated from a tournament. However, the truth is different—the woman seen by the sea was actually Beatrice Valli, an influencer. Neither Jannik nor Anna are in Liguria. Sinner, who declined Amadeus’ invitation two years ago—sparking some controversy—remains absent, while Kalinskaya is still in the Middle East and has not traveled to Italy.
Anna and Jannik continue to keep their relationship extremely private. Sinner is currently in Monte Carlo, focused on preparing for his upcoming tournaments, while Kalinskaya remains dedicated to her tennis career. Despite facing criticism on social media, neither of them has responded. However, for Sinner, public discourse has recently centered more on the Clostebol case than on his relationship with Anna.
The latest comments on the matter came from Massimiliano Ambesi during an episode of TennisMania on OA Sport with Dario Puppo. Ambesi defended Sinner’s team, stating:
“Sinner has entrusted himself to professionals who come at a high cost and are regarded as the pinnacle of their field. So where is the negligence? Negligence would be if he relied on Puppo and me. He has chosen leading experts in the industry, so negligence is out of the question. While some may try to argue otherwise, this is simply a matter of objective responsibility.”
He further added:
“If in 2025 we believe that the athlete himself should personally oversee every aspect, we take note of that, but something still doesn’t add up. Ferrara is continuing to work without issue, as he is a highly respected professional in the market. The fact that he was hired and remains employed suggests that the situation that arose is ultimately considered insignificant.”
