Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka Create Their Dream Tennis Tournaments

As they prepare for the BNP Paribas Open, Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka took a lighthearted break to design their own dream tennis tournaments in a fun interview with the Broadcast Boys. The two top-ranked stars discussed everything from the ideal location to the prize money, court colors, and even the soundtrack for their fantasy events.

The video, shared on Instagram, kicked off with venue selections—Sabalenka chose Greece, Athens, while Gauff picked Atlanta. When asked about their ideal courtside spectator, Gauff opted for Zendaya, while Sabalenka kept it simple:

“I only need my team and my boyfriend.”

Next up was music, with the World No. 1 selecting Teddy Swims to create the tournament’s anthem, while Gauff went with Childish Gambino. As for court design, Sabalenka envisioned purple and pink, while Gauff went for something bolder:

“Purple and black, cause I feel like that’s out there. I don’t know, a little raunchy,” she said with a laugh.

When it came to prize money, Sabalenka set the bar sky-high, casually suggesting $8 billion.

“Couple billions. Well, let’s say $8B. Why not?”

Gauff, on the other hand, kept things more realistic, choosing $10 million. Upon hearing Sabalenka’s extravagant figure, she laughed:

“Oh, I was being realistic here.”

The interview wrapped up with both players naming their tournaments, discussing the number of rounds, and deciding whether doubles would be included. It was a fun and playful insight into their personalities—one that fans enjoyed as they gear up for the competitive battles ahead.

Gauff Addresses Recent Struggles Ahead of Indian Wells

Despite a strong start to 2025—helping Team USA win the United Cup as MVP and reaching the Australian Open quarterfinals—Coco Gauff has hit a rough patch. Early exits in both Qatar and Dubai sparked concerns about her form, but the American remains unfazed.

Speaking at her pre-tournament press conference for Indian Wells, she dismissed the overreaction to her recent results:

“Yeah, for me, I don’t know, everybody makes a bigger deal than what it is… I lost two matches. I’ll lose more matches back to back, it’s going to happen. Everyone is like, ‘Oh, she’s sinking.’ Okay, we’ve been through this. I’ll pick it back up. To me, it feels like a month, but it’s just two tournaments, and in this calendar, I have so many other opportunities. I can’t win every match.”

Gauff returns to action on March 8, facing Moyuka Uchijima in the second round of the BNP Paribas Open. Will she find her rhythm and make a deep run in the desert?
