Jannik Sinner Prepares for Return After Three-Month Ban
With the unwavering support of his family and team, Jannik Sinner is navigating his three-month suspension following his agreement with WADA. Despite not playing an official match since his 2025 Australian Open triumph, the world No. 1 remains at the top of the ATP Race and is working intensely to ensure he returns in peak form this May.
Sinner’s first tournament back will be the Rome Masters 1000, where he will have the opportunity to compete in front of his home crowd. FITP President Angelo Binaghi has even announced plans to dedicate a personalized suite to Sinner, providing him with an exclusive space to prepare and focus during the event.
To maximize match play ahead of Roland Garros, the three-time Grand Slam champion has also signed up for the ATP 500 tournament in Hamburg. After claiming the first Major of the year at Melbourne Park, Sinner remains in contention for a historic Calendar Grand Slam—a feat last achieved by Rod Laver.
Training Hard in Monte Carlo
In preparation for his return, the 23-year-old is rigorously training at the Beausoleil club in Monte Carlo, alternating between fitness work and on-court sessions. This location holds special significance for Sinner, as he previously trained there in 2022 following his split from Riccardo Piatti and the formation of his new coaching team.
Under the guidance of Simone Vagnozzi and legendary coach Darren Cahill, Sinner has reached his full potential and established himself as the best player in the world. However, rumors suggest Cahill may step down before the end of the season, with reports indicating that Sinner has already lined up a new coach to take his place.
As he prepares for his long-awaited return, all eyes will be on Sinner’s journey and his pursuit of tennis history.
