Novak Djokovic’s Miami Open Quarter-Final Against Sebastian Korda in Doubt

Novak Djokovic’s upcoming Miami Open quarter-final against Sebastian Korda is uncertain after Korda raised concerns about his fitness. The American took a medical timeout during his rain-delayed three-set victory over Gael Monfils and later withdrew from his doubles match due to a wrist injury.

Korda, ranked world No. 25, has struggled with wrist problems throughout the season, missing several tournaments. Following his win against Monfils, he admitted uncertainty about facing Djokovic, saying:

“It’s pretty painful right now, but we’ll see how it goes tomorrow. A lot of work with the physio now and see where tomorrow takes us.”

Korda’s withdrawal from doubles further fueled speculation about his availability. He has already skipped multiple tournaments this year due to injuries, including Brisbane, Montpellier, and Acapulco.

Djokovic, meanwhile, eased past Lorenzo Musetti in the fourth round, playing in front of a star-studded audience that included Serena Williams and Juan Martin del Potro. The Serbian last faced Korda in the 2023 Adelaide International final, where he saved a championship point to claim victory.
