Luke Littler may be leading the Premier League Darts standings, but there’s one thing he admits he’d happily borrow from fellow star Nathan Aspinall—his walk-on music.

The reigning world champion has made “Greenlight” by Pitbull his signature entrance track, a tune now synonymous with his meteoric rise in darts. However, even Littler can’t deny the electric vibe of Aspinall’s iconic walk-out to “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers—a fan favorite that gets the whole arena singing along.

During a recent Q&A with Michael van Gerwen for cinch, Littler was asked which player’s entrance song he’d steal. After some thought, “The Nuke” replied with a smile: “There’s a few… but Nathan Aspinall.”

Aspinall’s choice of anthem has played a big role in boosting his popularity, creating a unique atmosphere whenever he steps onto the oche. Speaking to Planet Sport earlier this year, Aspinall explained the effect the song has had on both him and the crowd.

“It’s worked wonders for me,” he said. “My popularity has skyrocketed just because of that song.
The atmosphere when it plays—especially at the Worlds—is different. Five thousand people screaming and singing it with you… it’s hard not to join in.”

But the adrenaline rush comes with a downside.

“I’m working on new ways to calm myself down before the match starts,” he added. “I wouldn’t change it, but it definitely affects the early legs. I sometimes lose the first couple just trying to settle back in.”

Littler, meanwhile, is still very much attached to Greenlight, a song that holds personal meaning. He first heard it at WrestleMania in Florida when he was 10 years old.

“Me and my dad went to WrestleMania in Orlando seven years ago,” he shared on the Happy Hour Podcast. “I was singing my head off as a kid. I told myself then: if I ever make it, this will be my walk-on song. I’ve stuck with it ever since.”

So while he may admire Aspinall’s entrance, don’t expect Littler to change his tune anytime soon.
