Mirra Andreeva is set for a compelling family showdown at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, where she’ll face her sister Erika Andreeva. Erika currently leads their head-to-head 1-0, but much has changed since their last meeting.

Mirra has enjoyed a remarkable start to the season, claiming back-to-back titles in Dubai and Indian Wells. Her momentum was only halted in Miami by fellow breakout star Amanda Anisimova. Now, she turns her focus to clay – the surface where fans first took notice of her talents during her debut as a 15-year-old at the Madrid Open.

On the cusp of her 18th birthday, Andreeva shared candid insights into her mindset during a pre-tournament media session.

“I think that lately I found that balance to not really be depressed or to worry too much on the court,” she said. “At the same time, I try to have fun and enjoy every moment, while also taking it seriously. I think me finding that balance helped me a lot these past couple of months.”

This mental clarity appears to be a turning point for the young Russian, who is now emerging as one of the favorites in Stuttgart. With confidence at an all-time high, she’ll aim to power through a tough field, starting with a sentimental matchup against her sister.

Andreeva’s growth, both mentally and physically, is a testament to her resilience. As she continues to rise, she now shoulders the added weight of expectation — a position she’s learning to embrace as she chases the coveted Porsche crown.
