Luke Littler Joins Deliveroo to Crown the UK’s Best Kebab Spot
British darts prodigy and self-confessed kebab enthusiast Luke Littler has teamed up with Deliveroo to launch the Luke Littler x Deliveroo Best Kebab Award, part of the 2025 Deliveroo Restaurant Awards.
The popular award is back after a three-year break, now with a brand-new golden trophy shaped like Littler’s post-match go-to: the chicken shish. The initiative celebrates the UK’s favorite takeaway, highlights local restaurant heroes, and lets fans vote for their top kebab spot.
Luke, known for supporting his hometown takeaway, helped narrow down the shortlist to 10 standout contenders:
- The Kebab Lab – Burnley
- Emmy’s Pitta – Coventry
- Coral Reef Takeaway – Crewe
- Sqew Kebabs – Leeds
- Konak – Leicester
- George’s Tradition – Mansfield
- Mraya – Nottingham
- Yara – Wigan
- Tarboush Express – Loughborough
- My Greek Street Food – Eccles
Encouraging the public to cast their votes, Luke said:
“Whether it’s chicken tikka or lamb, a great kebab starts with juicy lean meat, fresh salad, and soft bread. These restaurants are absolutely smashing it – now it’s your turn to decide the winner. Game on.”
Deliveroo founder and CEO Will Shu added:
“Who better than Luke Littler to reintroduce this fan-favorite award? These restaurants serve top-tier kebabs and are community staples. It’s time to give them the recognition they deserve.”
Voting is now open at the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2025 website and closes at 11:59 p.m. on May 9. Winners will be revealed on May 28 via Deliveroo’s social media channels. UK and Ireland voters are automatically entered into a draw to win £150 in Deliveroo credit.
