A British darts star has spoken out about the frightening warning he received from doctors after being taken to hospital during an unexpected health scare.

The player, now back competing, said the message from medical staff left him shocked and fully aware of how quickly things can change.

“You Don’t Realise How Serious It Is Until You’re Told”

He explained that the issue began suddenly, with discomfort and swelling that he first tried to ignore before it worsened.

“At first I didn’t think much of it,” he said. “But it kept getting worse and I didn’t feel right. That’s when I knew I needed to get checked out.”

Doctors examined him immediately and moved him into care.
But it was their warning that truly hit home.

“The doctor told me I’d come in at the right time,” he recalled.
“Then he explained how important it was that I didn’t leave it any longer. Hearing that was a real shock.”
