Luke Littler is set to celebrate his 19th birthday with a short trip to Dubai after clinching the Saudi Arabia Darts Masters title with a victory over Michael van Gerwen.

The teenager was crowned the inaugural champion in Riyadh on Wednesday night, producing an impressive run that included wins over Paul Lim, Gian van Veen, Gerwyn Price and van Gerwen at the Global Theater.

Van Gerwen twice closed the gap to within a single leg at 4–3 and 5–4, but Littler remained composed in the closing stages to secure an 8–5 win and add another major World Series title to his rapidly growing collection.

The success earned Littler £30,000 in prize money, taking his total career earnings to more than £3.3 million despite being just 19 years old.

Speaking after the final, Littler confirmed he would be marking his birthday with a family getaway.

“I’ll celebrate my birthday now,” he said. “I’m going to Dubai with my family and my girlfriend and have three days off.

“It didn’t work out for me last week in Bahrain, so I’m really happy to come to Saudi Arabia and be the first winner here. Hopefully we can come back next year and someone will hit a nine-darter.”

Reflecting on the event, he added: “I started to find my form again before the break, and I’m really glad to win. We came over not knowing what to expect, but the turnout was brilliant, so thank you to everyone.”

According to reports, Littler plans to treat those closest to him as a thank you for their continued support, with the Saudi Masters prize money adding to his already substantial earnings.

Earlier this month, following his dominant 7–1 victory over Gian van Veen in the World Darts Championship final, Littler was also reported to have purchased a five-bedroom home on the outskirts of his hometown of Warrington, Cheshire.

The property is said to have been bought for his parents and has been described as an extended family home, featuring modern additions such as a hot tub, solar panels and a large open-plan kitchen. While the exact figure has not been confirmed, the house was previously listed for close to £1 million.

A source close to the family said Littler was keen to give back to those who supported him from the very beginning, underlining the grounded approach he has maintained despite his rapid rise and remarkable success.
