The PDC European Tour heads to Munich for one of darts’ most beloved spring spectacles — here’s everything you need to know to catch every dart live.
What Is the German Darts Grand Prix 2026?
The 2026 German Darts Grand Prix — known officially for sponsorship purposes as the Elten Safety Shoes German Darts Grand Prix — is a professional darts tournament taking place at the Kulturhalle Zenith in Munich, Germany, from 4 to 6 April 2026. It is the fourth of fifteen PDC European Tour events on the 2026 PDC Pro Tour, featuring a field of 48 players and £230,000 in total prize money, with £35,000 going to the winner.
The tournament has become an established fixture on the PDC European Tour since its inaugural staging in 2017, and Munich’s Kulturhalle Zenith has served as the event’s spiritual home for most of its history.
Schedule and Sessions
The tournament is spread over three days, with an afternoon and evening session each day. The afternoon sessions start daily at 12:00 PM BST, while in the evening the first darts are thrown at 6:00 PM BST.

Who’s Playing?
Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen are the top two seeds in Munich, with fellow Premier League stars Jonny Clayton and Josh Rock also featuring, along with James Wade, Danny Noppert and Nathan Aspinall. The event carries a top prize of £35,000.
One of the main talking points heading into the event is that Luke Littler is not in the field for Munich, which immediately changes the feel of the tournament and opens it up, especially with van Gerwen returning to a venue where he has enjoyed significant success.
Due to Littler’s withdrawal, Jermaine Wattimena is also among the top 16 seeded players for this event. The top sixteen players on the Pro Tour Order of Merit have also automatically qualified for the main event, including names such as Wessel Nijman, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Mike De Decker, Raymond van Barneveld and Peter Wright.
Michael van Gerwen is the defending champion, having defeated Gian van Veen 8–5 in the 2025 final.
How to Watch in the UK
Sky Sports remains the home of PDC darts in the UK in 2026. However, the German Darts Grand Prix is a PDC European Tour event, which means it does not receive the same dedicated free-to-air coverage as marquee events like the World Championship or UK Open.
PDC TV is the most reliable option for UK fans wanting to follow all the action. The matches can be followed live on PDC TV. A subscription gives you access to every session from Munich across the three days.
PDC tournaments are broadcast by ITV4 throughout the UK for select events including the UK Open, European Championship, and Players Championship Finals. All major televised PDC events are also broadcast live online outside of the UK through PDCTV. For European Tour events specifically, PDC TV is the go-to stream for UK viewers.
Sky Sports subscribers should also check the Sky Sports Darts channel for any confirmed coverage of the event’s later rounds or highlights programming.
How to Watch in the USA
There is no dedicated US broadcast deal for PDC European Tour events. The best options for American darts fans are:
PDC TV — PDCTV monthly subscriptions for international viewers are available and cover European Tour events. This is the most straightforward legal route for US fans.
Peacock — Peacock carries PDC darts coverage in the US for select tournaments. However, coverage for European Tour events on this platform is not always guaranteed, so check listings ahead of the weekend.
Given the time difference, US fans on the East Coast will be looking at a 7:00 AM ET start for the afternoon sessions and a 1:00 PM ET kick-off for evening sessions — manageable viewing for a darts-obsessed Easter weekend.
How to Watch in Australia
Fox Sports is the PDC’s Australian broadcast partner. In Australia, PDC darts is televised on Fox via Foxtel, with live streaming available via Kayo Sports. Australian fans should check Fox Sports and Kayo Sports schedules to confirm whether European Tour coverage will be aired live or via highlights.
PDC TV remains the safe fallback option for Australian viewers wanting guaranteed live access, particularly for the earlier rounds.
Given the time zone, Australian fans in AEST will be watching from 9:00 PM for afternoon sessions and 3:00 AM for evening sessions — the kind of dedication only true darts lovers understand.
Global Streaming: PDC TV
For fans anywhere in the world without a local broadcast deal, PDC TV offers an international live stream for subscribers with original commentary. It is the most reliable and comprehensive way to follow the full tournament regardless of your location.
What’s at Stake
Players compete for prize money, titles and qualification for the prestigious European Darts Championship in Dortmund. With the prize pot boosted significantly this season, every match in Munich carries real weight in the European Tour Order of Merit.
With all three of the most recent champions — van Gerwen, Humphries and Smith — scheduled to be in action, and the absence of Littler potentially opening the door for a surprise winner, this year’s edition promises to be one of the most unpredictable Munich has seen.
Set your alarms, fire up your stream of choice, and get ready for a full Easter weekend of world-class darts from Bavaria.
