Jake Paul has stirred the pot once again—this time by boldly claiming he could step into the world of darts and completely take over, even going as far as to say he would EMBARRASS Gerwyn Price.
The outspoken American is already familiar with ‘The Iceman’, with the pair having previously teased the possibility of a blockbuster boxing showdown. But now, Paul, 29, has taken things in a different direction, joking that he wouldn’t just face Price in the ring—he could beat him at his own game on the oche.
Speaking to Sky Sports, ‘The Problem Child’ said: “Yeah, I wouldn’t want to embarrass him, but I’m thinking of coming in and just taking over the game…
“I’m a hunter and I have perfect aim.”
Paul first shot to global fame on YouTube before transitioning into combat sports, where he has shared the spotlight with major names such as Anthony Joshua and Mike Tyson. His confidence has never been in short supply, and this latest claim only adds to his growing list of bold statements.
The American has also previously called out Price for a fight in the boxing ring, suggesting they settle their rivalry once and for all.
However, the darts star wasted no time in shutting down the idea, making it clear he doesn’t see Paul as a legitimate threat.
“He’s a YouTuber, he’s not a fighter, is he?” Price said. “I think it would just be one punch, and it would be all over. Out cold.
“It would be a waste of money for people to tune in. He’ll never beat me in Wales. Nobody beats me in Wales.
“He’d probably beat Canelo Alvarez but he’s not beating me, no.”
Despite Price’s dismissive comments, the exchange didn’t end there. The Welshman later revealed that Paul had actually reached out to him directly after hearing what was said.
“He’s seen it and messaged me,” Price explained. “He wrote back to me and said, ‘Come to Greece, man. Just name a price.’
“I don’t know why he’s in Greece.”
While it remains unlikely that fans will see the two settle their differences either on the darts stage or in the boxing ring anytime soon, the back-and-forth has certainly added another layer of intrigue to an already unusual rivalry.
