Luke Littler reveals he can only cook TOAST after admitting he needs to ‘lose a bit of timber’ to take on Mo Farah

Luke Littler has admitted his cooking skills are virtually non-existent—joking that toast is about as far as he can go—as he looks to improve his lifestyle.

The teenage darts star also quipped that he would need to “lose a bit of timber” if he were ever to take on Olympic legend Mo Farah in a bizarre viral challenge. The concept imagines a long-distance race where competitors must stop 13 times—after every mile—to complete a 501 checkout before continuing.

Speaking about life on tour, Littler acknowledged how difficult it can be for players to maintain a healthy diet due to the demanding schedule.

“It’s very tempting for us,” he told VTM. “At those times there’s nothing healthy to eat. When we’re at home, we can balance it out a bit with normal meals, or go out and pick something reasonably healthy like chicken and rice.

“Cooking? I know absolutely nothing about it. I’ve really no idea how to make anything. Maybe some toast, but that’s about it.”

In contrast, his rival Luke Humphries has taken a far more disciplined approach, having transformed his fitness and lost four stone during the pandemic.

Humphries explained: “When I’m at home, I don’t think about eating out or ordering food. After a few days away, especially if I’ve only got a short break, I actually enjoy cooking proper, nutritious meals.

“I’m not saying I’m an amazing chef, but I can cook. I make good pasta dishes and anything that’s healthy for me, my partner and the kids. I really enjoy that side of things.”

Meanwhile, Jonny Clayton—currently second in the Premier League Darts standings—takes a more relaxed view on diet.

“My diet isn’t great,” he admitted. “If something looks good, I’ll eat it. Maybe that’s not ideal, but I’m 51 now—if I fancy something, I just go for it. I love food… and I love a kebab.”
