Defending champions Northern Ireland return looking to retain the title they won in dramatic fashion last year after defeating Wales in a thrilling final. Josh Rock and Daryl Gurney once again join forces and will be determined to recreate their memorable triumph.

Wales have undergone a significant change, with Gerwyn Price absent from this year’s competition. Jonny Clayton remains the team’s talisman and will be partnered by Rhys Griffin.

Scotland will also field a new-look pairing. Cameron Menzies has replaced Peter Wright and will make his World Cup debut alongside two-time world champion Gary Anderson.

England head into the tournament as favourites despite a disappointing campaign in 2025. World No.1 Luke Humphries and reigning world champion Luke Littler suffered a shock first-round exit at the hands of hosts Germany last year and will be eager to make amends.

The Netherlands boast one of the strongest teams in the field, with Michael van Gerwen partnering rising star Gian van Veen for the first time. Belgium will rely on the experienced duo of Mike De Decker and Dimitri Van den Bergh, while home hopes rest largely on Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko.

Among the other teams capable of making deep runs are Austria’s Mensur Suljović and Rusty-Jake Rodriguez, Poland’s Krzysztof Ratajski and Sebastian Białecki, and Czech Republic duo Karel Sedláček and Adam Gawlas.
