Sabalenka Aims for Redemption at Miami Open

With the Miami Open set to kick off in Miami Gardens, Florida, on March 21, Sabalenka is eager to bounce back from recent disappointments. After early exits during the Middle East swing and two final losses this season, she is determined to claim a title and solidify her position at the top of the rankings.

She begins her Miami Open campaign in the Round of 64 against Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, having received a first-round bye as the tournament’s top seed. Their last encounter dates back to 2016 at the Budapest Open, where a young Sabalenka suffered a 7-6, 6-4 loss to Tomova.

Now, with years of experience and Grand Slam victories under her belt, Sabalenka will look to avenge that loss and build momentum toward winning the tournament.
