Jack Grealish’s Man City Exit ‘Nailed On’ as Tottenham Named Ideal Destination

Jack Grealish is expected to leave Manchester City this summer, with former Premier League striker Troy Deeney claiming that a move is “nailed on.” Tottenham Hotspur has been identified as a potential destination for the 29-year-old winger, who has endured a difficult season under Pep Guardiola.

Grealish’s Struggles at City

Since joining City for a British record £100 million in 2021, Grealish has lifted six trophies but has failed to maintain a consistent spot in Guardiola’s starting XI. This season, he has yet to score a Premier League goal and has mainly featured in the FA Cup since January.

His lack of game time led to his exclusion from Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad, as competition among wide forwards intensifies ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Tottenham: The Right Move?

Speaking on talkSPORT, Deeney suggested that Grealish could thrive at Spurs, saying:

“I think it’s nailed on that he’s going to leave now. He won’t be short of suitors, but he may need to adjust his wage expectations. Spurs would be a great fit—he’d play week in, week out and help push them forward. For Jack, it’s all about staying fit and playing consistently.”

Tottenham previously attempted to sign Grealish in 2018, offering £25 million while he was at Aston Villa, but their bid was rejected. Now, with City reportedly open to selling, Spurs may revive their interest.

Guardiola’s Stance on Grealish’s Future

Despite speculation about his future, Guardiola recently defended Grealish’s personal life after he was spotted socializing in Newcastle, fueling transfer rumors. Addressing concerns, Guardiola stated:

“A day off is a day off. They have private lives, and I don’t control what they do outside of football. I judge them on their training and performances in matches.”

With over two years remaining on his contract, Grealish’s next move remains uncertain, but as City prepares for a summer squad overhaul, a transfer could be on the horizon.
