Emma Raducanu Skips Stuttgart, Fueling Speculation Over Porsche Sponsorship
Emma Raducanu will not be starting her clay-court season in Stuttgart this year, a surprising change from her usual schedule. Instead, the British star has opted to play at the WTA 250 tournament in Rouen, raising fresh speculation about her relationship with longtime sponsor Porsche.
For the past three years, Raducanu made her clay debut at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, where the luxury car brand is the main sponsor. However, reports from late 2024 suggested that Porsche had taken back a supercar previously gifted to the 2021 US Open champion, citing concerns that their partnership wasn’t delivering sufficient value.
While there has been no official confirmation about the status of her ambassador role, Raducanu’s absence from Stuttgart—where she previously fulfilled sponsorship obligations—has fueled rumors that Porsche may have quietly ended their deal with the 22-year-old.
Meanwhile, Iga Świątek, who joined Porsche as a brand ambassador in 2023, is confirmed to play in Stuttgart for the fourth consecutive year, further highlighting Raducanu’s notable absence.
As the clay season gets underway, questions remain about whether Raducanu’s split with Porsche is official—or if this is simply a scheduling shift.
