During a Q&A session on X this past Sunday, a fan asked the world No. 11 why she has yet to claim a Major title. The 27-year-old responded with a touch of humor, saying, “I don’t know. I’m trying. Maybe you have the special recipe to make that happen?”

Badosa, a former world No. 2, came close earlier this year when she reached her first Grand Slam semifinal at the Australian Open. However, she fell short in two sets against world No. 1 and close friend Aryna Sabalenka, later admitting her disappointment over the loss.

Injury Concerns Ahead of the French Open

For Badosa to contend for a Grand Slam title, she needs to be at full strength. However, her persistent back injury continues to be a major setback. The Spaniard was forced to withdraw from Merida, retire injured at Indian Wells, and pull out of Miami, Charleston, and Stuttgart.

With the Madrid Open set to begin on April 22, Badosa is hopeful she can make her return in front of her home crowd.

When another fan urged her to win a title this clay season, Badosa kept things realistic, replying, “First I need to be back on court… and then maybe a title.”

Now, all eyes are on her recovery as she aims to make an impact in the upcoming clay season.
