Caroline Wozniacki Is Pregnant, Expecting 3rd Baby with Husband David Lee: ‘Officially Switching to Zone Defense’

Caroline Wozniacki, the Danish tennis champion, is pregnant and expecting her third child with her husband, former NBA player David Lee. The couple, already parents to daughter Olivia, 3, and son James, 2, shared the joyful news on Instagram with an adorable family photo. The picture shows the family of four standing together on a beach, with Olivia holding ultrasound images of the new baby.

“Officially switching to zone defense! Our family couldn’t be more excited to welcome baby #3 soon! 👶🏼,” Wozniacki wrote in the caption, playfully acknowledging how she and Lee will soon be outnumbered by kids.

Wozniacki, 34, had previously announced a temporary retirement from tennis in December 2019, citing her desire to focus on starting a family with Lee, 41, and her 2018 rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis. At the time, she explained, “When the time comes, there are things away from tennis that I want to do more,” expressing her excitement to build a life with Lee and raise awareness about rheumatoid arthritis.

In June 2023, Wozniacki made a comeback to tennis, sharing that she still had career goals she wanted to pursue and wanted to show her children the importance of chasing dreams at any stage of life. “Over these past three years away from the game, I became a mother and now have two beautiful children. But I still have goals I want to accomplish,” she posted on social media, announcing her return to the sport.
