As the 2025 Premier League Darts season reaches its midway point, Luke Littler is in commanding form. After nine of the sixteen regular nights, the 18-year-old sensation, nicknamed The Nuke, holds a dominant position at the top of the table with 26 points—an impressive 14 points clear of fifth-placed Rob Cross.

Only the top four players after all sixteen nights will progress to the prestigious Play-Offs at London’s O2 Arena. Littler’s lead over second-placed Luke Humphries currently stands at six points, with Gerwyn Price in third (11 points behind) and Michael van Gerwen in fourth, trailing by 13.

“I’m not surprised. It’s frightening what the lad can do,” commented former Premier League contender Mark Webster on Sky Sports. “The gap just keeps growing, and he looks so relaxed out there!”

Littler has already secured victory on four nights of this year’s competition, underlining his consistency and hunger for success. But he’s not settling.

“We’re halfway there now, and it’s getting tight for the rest of the field,” said Littler. “I want to be at the O2, obviously, but I’m also aiming to finish top again—and I’m trying to break the nightly win record.”

Despite his dominant position, Mark Webster cautioned that complacency could be Littler’s only real threat. “His points total should comfortably get him to the O2,” said the Welshman, “but the only thing that could slow him down is himself. Van Gerwen has mentioned that danger before—when you’re so far ahead, it’s easy to lose a bit of focus.”

As for the race behind him, Webster predicts a close battle for the remaining playoff spots. “I still think Van Gerwen will make it, but Rob Cross is looking solid too. He just gets on with the job. And while Price has had some big nights, he hasn’t pulled away yet. It’s going to be a real scrap for that top four.”
