‘Unlimited potential’ – Bayern Munich urged to sign Jack Grealish as Man City star would ‘bring flair’ to Harry Kane’s Bundesliga side
Former Bayern Munich midfielder Dietmar Hamann has called on the Bundesliga giants to sign Manchester City’s Jack Grealish, believing the England international would bring much-needed creativity to a team spearheaded by Harry Kane.
Grealish’s Future at Manchester City Uncertain
Since joining Manchester City from Aston Villa in a record-breaking move in 2021, Grealish has displayed flashes of brilliance but has struggled to consistently shine under Pep Guardiola. Now 28, Grealish finds himself amid fierce competition for minutes at the Etihad, raising speculation about a potential summer move in search of a more central role.
Hamann Backs Grealish for Bayern Move
In an interview with InstantCasino, Hamann voiced his admiration for Grealish and suggested Bayern would be the ideal destination for the winger to rediscover his best form.
“Grealish is a player I’d really like to see at Bayern Munich. He still has unlimited potential,” Hamann said. “He’s had only one standout season in four at City. I feel he’s a free spirit on and off the pitch—you’ve got to let him play with freedom.”
Hamann added that while Grealish often features out wide, his best performances have come when he’s played centrally, especially for England.
“He’s at his best just behind the striker as a No.10. He was outstanding there for England against Ireland. Bayern already have Jamal Musiala, but Grealish is good enough to justify playing in his best position.”
Could Bayern Afford Him?
While Grealish’s quality is not in doubt, financial considerations will factor into any potential move. Hamann acknowledged that the cost of signing him from City could be significant but argued that his presence would add undeniable flair to the Bundesliga.
What’s Next for Grealish and Manchester City?
As the summer transfer window approaches, Grealish’s place at City remains under scrutiny. His performances this season haven’t quite lived up to expectations, and with Guardiola’s side chasing silverware across multiple competitions, the pressure is on.
City face Crystal Palace on April 12, and fans will be watching closely to see if Grealish features—and how he performs.
