Andy Murray recently shared his thoughts on Emma Raducanu following the announcement of her split from coach Nick Cavaday after the 2025 Australian Open. The two-time Wimbledon champion offered support for Raducanu, who has faced frequent coaching changes since her breakthrough win at the 2021 US Open.

Speaking to the media, Murray said, “Emma’s had a tough time with injuries and setbacks, but she’s still young and has a lot of potential. I think she’s shown incredible resilience given everything she’s gone through.”

Murray, who has navigated his own challenges with injuries and coaching changes, emphasized that finding the right coach takes time and patience. “It’s not easy going through so many coaching changes, but at the same time, every player needs to figure out what works best for them,” he added. “Emma’s shown she’s capable of great things, and I’m sure she’ll bounce back stronger.”

Raducanu and Cavaday had worked together for 14 months, but the coach stepped down due to health reasons following the Australian Open, where Raducanu reached the third round before losing to Iga Swiatek. Now preparing for her next tournament, Raducanu will begin the search for her seventh coach since turning professional.

Murray, ever supportive of his fellow British player, concluded his comments by wishing Raducanu the best in her future endeavors: “I hope she finds the right setup and continues to grow as a player. She’s got a bright future ahead of her.”
