Iga Swiatek Unveils Signature Shoe Featuring Taylor Swift-Inspired Inscription

Iga Swiatek, the World No. 2, has introduced her first-ever signature custom-made shoe, crafted by On Running, the Swiss-based brand backed by Roger Federer. The new design includes an engraving of Swiatek’s own words—borrowed from global music icon Taylor Swift—on the side of the shoe.

Federer, a 20-time Grand Slam champion, has played a key role in On Running’s rise, holding a 3% ownership stake in the brand—valued at $180 million in 2021, according to Sportico. Since partnering with the company in 2023, Swiatek has become their first female tennis player ambassador. She now joins a growing roster of athletes, including Australian Open semifinalist Ben Shelton.

The 23-year-old Pole has been rewarded with a signature shoe, complete with an iconic four-word phrase taken from an X (formerly Twitter) post where she was asked:

“What era are you currently in, in your career?”

Swiatek’s response:
“Oh my God, honestly my fans say, reputation, but I don’t know—it’s hard to say. I’m in my own era… I guess…”

This statement echoes Taylor Swift’s ‘In My Era’ phrase, which became widely popular in 2023, inspired by her record-breaking Eras Tour.

Swiatek’s Dominance on Clay Continues into 2025

As Swiatek prepares for the clay court season, she remains the undisputed force on the surface, having captured four French Open titles since 2020. Her recent performance at the Australian Open further reinforced her form, as she pushed eventual champion Madison Keys to three grueling sets, narrowly missing a match point in a thrilling 10-8 third-set tiebreaker in the semifinals.

Despite the heartbreaking loss, Swiatek remained optimistic in her post-match press conference, vowing to work harder for future Grand Slam victories:

“This year was different, and for sure, it gives me a positive vibe for the rest of the season. Obviously, I wanted more. I already played the semifinal, and I wanted to win this one. But I think if I keep working hard, I’ll have more chances in the future, and maybe I’ll use them as I didn’t use my match point today.”

What’s Next for Swiatek?

Swiatek is now set to compete in the Middle East swing, beginning with the Qatar TotalEnergies Open and the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships in February. She’ll be hoping that her new signature shoes, branded with On Running’s motto—*”Get ready to move like lightning”—**will help propel her to another Grand Slam victory.
