Raducanu enters the match on a three-match losing streak, having fallen to Iga Swiatek in the Australian Open third round, followed by defeats to Cristina Bucsa in Singapore and Vondrousova in Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, Kalinskaya has had her own setbacks in early 2025, dealing with injury and illness, which forced her to miss the Australian Open. The Russian showed promise by reaching the Singapore semifinal last week, but she was forced to retire against Ann Li due to physical struggles.
