“It was a great night for me. Luke Littler seems to bring the best out of me, so that was a great game to come through. Then to beat the world champion was big for me. I felt like the crowd got me through that game. It was like I was playing in Cardiff again.”

He acknowledged a slow start in the final but was pleased with his form and consistency:

“I missed a couple of opportunities, but I found my feet and I’m really glad to get a vital five points. I’m playing really well, and the results are coming.”

Littler’s Frustration & Premier League Standings

Luke Littler showed signs of frustration, throwing his darts down before leaving the stage after his quarter-final defeat. Earlier, he had signaled for calm from the crowd after hitting a 109 checkout, but unlike his remarkable comeback in Glasgow last week, there was no repeat performance against Price.

Elsewhere, Humphries defeated Stephen Bunting 6-3, while Van Gerwen secured a 6-4 win over Chris Dobey with a bullseye finish.
