Luke Littler claimed his second PDC title in a week at the Lecot Belgian Darts Open in Wieze on Sunday, outlasting local hero Mike De Decker 8-5 in the final. The 18-year-old phenom extended his scorching hot streak, fresh off winning the UK Open seven days prior and dominating Premier League Night Five in Brighton on Thursday.
In a lively Oktoberhallen, Littler fended off a spirited De Decker comeback to defend the title he first won on his 2024 European Tour debut. After nailing two treble 20s, he passed on a crowd-pleasing 170 checkout to seal the victory. “I’m thrilled to retain this title in front of these incredible fans,” said the World Champion, who got a playful water dousing from De Decker. “Mike was tough on his throw, but I grabbed the lead and held on.”
Littler, who’s averaged over 100 in all four of his Finals Day wins, added, “I said if I didn’t win anything this year, I’d still be a World Champion. But taking the UK Open and now going back-to-back here? I’m over the moon. Next up: Players Championship events, then back to the Premier League.” His path included victories over Luke Woodhouse in the last 16, Dave Chisnall in the quarters, and James Wade in the semis.
De Decker, the World Grand Prix champ, thrilled the home crowd with a dramatic semi-final rally to edge Ross Smith, having earlier dispatched Martin Schindler and Gerwyn Price. “This crowd was unreal—everyone wants to play in Belgium, and they showed why again,” De Decker said. “I’m gutted the final slipped away, but Luke’s phenomenal—what he’s doing for darts is insane. It’s a runner-up trophy this time, but another final means I’m heading the right way.”
