Alex de Minaur reached a significant milestone at the BNP Paribas Open on Monday, notching his 50th ATP Masters 1000 victory with a commanding 6-4, 6-0 win over Hubert Hurkacz. The ninth seed needed just 75 minutes to dispatch his opponent, delivering a ruthless performance to book his spot in the Indian Wells fourth round.
De Minaur’s Clinical Display
The Australian was in top form, converting all four of his break points while saving the only one he faced. According to Infosys ATP Stats, his efficiency on both offense and defense left Hurkacz with little opportunity to respond.
With this victory, De Minaur now leads Hurkacz 2-1 in their Lexus ATP Head2Head series, marking their first meeting since 2019.
