Fallon Sherrock has revealed she played darts while on her period and “didn’t want to be at the oche.”
The Queen of the Palace, 31, admitted she is not convinced by stars pulling out with illness after battling through her own physical struggles.
It comes after Michael van Gerwen missed the third night of the Premier League and was then dumped out of his first game the following week.
Rival Gerwyn Price also had health issues and couldn’t play in the Poland Masters.
MvG, 36, also pulled out of the Players Championship 5 and 6 and was absent for the first European Tour event as well.
The Dutchman didn’t feature in four straight tournaments in total before going down 5-4 to Price on Prem night five in Belfast.
Discussing Mighty Mike’s form on Double Tops, sponsored by BetMGM, Sherrock rolled her eyes at suggestions that the three-time world champ wasn’t playing at 100 per cent.
Sherrock said: “I don’t think you can play down if you’re not feeling very well.
“You still have to produce your game and stuff.
“I have my period and I still got to play. People don’t understand the cramps and stuff.
“I don’t want to be there but I have to.
“But I have to go and I have to play well. Otherwise I’m losing.
“You have to go and you have to try. So when people say they’re sick…I’m not having it.
“Man flu, it’s not real. I don’t care.
“It’s just the flu, it’s not because you’re a man. I’m sorry.”
World No4 Van Gerwen told Dutch media before competing in Belfast: “I’m feeling much better, but I was really poorly.
“I’ll be there on Thursday [February 26]. Tomorrow I’m flying to Northern Ireland.
“I’m not completely fit yet, but fit enough.”
