Darts star Noa-Lynn van Leuven reveals why Beau Greaves is ‘annoying’

Noa-Lynn van Leuven may not be too upset about facing Beau Greaves a little less often these days.

A recent rule change banning transgender players from the WDF Women’s category has pushed the Dutch star into the open division. While the two can still meet at certain events, it won’t be as frequent as before.

And that might not be such a bad thing. Van Leuven joked that Greaves’ incredible form is starting to get frustrating.

“She’s quite annoying with how she’s playing right now,” she said. “I really enjoy playing Beau — she always brings out the best in me. Sometimes she beats me 4-0, other times it’s really close. I just love competing against her and seeing what she can do.

“I think what she’s doing on the ProTour right now is amazing.”

Van Leuven has enjoyed plenty of success herself, claiming six titles on the PDC Women’s Series over the past two seasons. But Greaves is currently operating on another level, going unbeaten in a remarkable 113 matches.

The Dutch ace returns to action in the Women’s Series this week, where another showdown with Greaves could be on the cards.

Speaking to Oche180, she added: “It definitely motivates me to improve again. It feels strange not being able to play in the WDF women’s events anymore.

“But I can still compete in the PDC, and I’ve been playing in open-ranking tournaments in the Netherlands, which I’m really enjoying.”

Meanwhile, Greaves continues to raise the bar. She made history in February by becoming the first woman to hit a nine-darter on the PDC ProTour, achieving the feat against Mensur Suljović at a Players Championship event.

The 22-year-old hasn’t lost on the women’s circuit since April 2025. During her incredible 113-match streak, she’s racked up 17 straight titles, dropped just 23 legs, and delivered 14 whitewash victories in 27 matches — a run that underlines her dominance.
